SABBATH DAY POINT LAKE GEORGE Oil On Canvas

12x12 oil on canvas . Painted on site plein air at a friends house on Sabbath Day Point, a tiny town on Lake George, one down from Silver Lake. It is a magical place and I had the good fortune of staying there a few times. It was the site of a battle during the French and Indian war in 1757. This is the view from her front lawn, a very short walk to the Lake from where I stood.
