SHE WENT LOOKING FOR SPRING is an autobiographical narrative mixed media combo of collage and painting on a wood panel. Antique papers become part of the painting and visa versa.
Made with antique postcards and a fashion print from the later 1800's, and painted on a primed board using acrylic paint. Size is 6.25 x 12 x .75" in size. It is varnished with 2-3 coats of a satin water-based varnish to protect it from light/environment. The piece is wired on back, does not need a frame, and is ready for hanging.
