CANOPY Abstracted Landscape on Paper Watercolor Pastel Ink
Canopy is an abstracted landscape painting/drawing created with watercolor, ink and pastel on paper. Inspired by my walks in the woods and my love for nature and the fall season.
I started the work with an automatic (blind) drawing in pencil, then worked into it with a wash of watercolor until the art took its shape. I then worked into it with more layers of watercolor, including metallic watercolor, and drew into it with pastel and ink.
As with many of my art works, the painting changes color or reflects bits of light depending upon where you stand. Not only is the act of creating the image kinetic, but so is the viewing of it. It is difficult to photograph and show the bits of metallic in the piece.
It is a 5.5 x 5.5" in size, and is matted in an 8"x8" mat.
Shipped flat as a first class package with tracking between two pieces of mat-board. Shipping included in the price.
