I draw and paint intuitively, working from the subconscious, and this piece was born out of isolation in the studio during Covid in 2020. ZIEMA is Lithuanian for Winter. On my mother's side, I am half Lithuanian, and I celebrate that part of me. It was, indeed, a very long lonely Covid winter, but I was grateful for the gift of art and my studio.
