Abstract Acrylic and Pastel on Paper SPRING IN THE CITY
SPRING IN THE CITY is an abstract narrative drawing/painting, influenced by my recent trips to Chelsea in NYC, where over the past few years I have watched Hudson Yards Spring up. This spring I took a walk past new buildings that seemed alive due to their organic nature. Plants were stirring in the ground, pushing out flowers and leaves. The city was a buzz!
Starting with an automatic/blind drawing, I painted layers of brilliant primary hues on canvas paper, then when dry used pastel and pastel pencil to define shape and develop the narrative elements of the piece.
5" x 5" in size, and is matted in an 8"x8" mat.
Shipped flat as a first class package with tracking between two pieces of mat-board. Shipping included in the price.
